10 facts about 'Rick and Morty'

1. The characters of 'Rick' and 'Morty' were originated during 2006 from one of Justin Roiland's animated shorts from 'Channel 101' The short was actually called 'The Adventures of Doc and Mharti', Where the short contains a twist of the characters from Back to the future, 'Doc Brown' and 'Marty Mcfly'. 2. Justin Roiland, creator and also the voice of Rick and Morty is unable to burp on command, this making it difficult for when voicing Rick who is known through the show for burping during his sentences. 3. 5. Co-creator Dan Harmon created the show with Justin Roiland from when he was fired from the show he previously worked on 'Community'. 7.  Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon both met through another animated pilot Roiland created called 'House of Cosbys' which he then submitted to Dan Harmon's Channel 101 film showcase which Roiland has also submitted other pilots that have been previously mentioned. 8. The show has also received awards such as an Annie award for the best general audience animated TV broadcast/production in 2015. Which is impressive for the show only being aired during the end of 2013.
